The wet weather of yesterday had taken its toll on our electronics and Vic’s back. The assist controller on the Gazelle failed with Vic left with Eco power only. Vic’s iPhone would not charge and combined with a failed attempt to find a bike repairer we set off at 10:30. We took the decision to ride a more direct route to Delfzijl. A good decision for many reasons and with excellent international assist from Cycle Heaven of York, Gazelle and Eddy Lambeck in Appingedam, we got the bike repaired the following morning. Our thanks to all.

No wiser!

Wet, wet, wet all day. Seven hours riding but at least the wind was behind us. Victoria’s passport photo disintegrated in the wet!

A deluge of rain just an hour before, forecast is for a dry run to Hull but thunderstorms and lightening for Rotterdam tomorrow.
