Lake Lugano – it did clear for us to enjoy a picnic with no one else around.

Wet again leaving Como with a steep climb out of the city.

The Tremelo cobbled road down to Airolo, brakes on hard  all the way down for about 7km.

Today was a climb of 1,6700m over 67km from Sisikon to the top of the pass. 

Looking back towards Andermatt.

Vierdwaldstettersee looked a bit like Knoydart on a typical wet day but with a few more cars and restaurants.

Got soaked with boots full of water – 29th June – Sisikon

The old Redbacks seem to be working well although not spotted anyone else yet with boots. Did see an Australian but he was riding in thong sandals

Didn’t meet any to check just how big they came.

Just a brief look as the path is definitely mountain bike only on this stretch.

With the goodies for a splendid lunch in the shade in Sundhouse.
